Who is on your premises right now?

It all depends on the time of day I ask you that question doesn't it? If that question was asked between 9-5 on a weekday, then you should answer "Staff, business associate's, visitors" or hopefully customers, if you deal with them on the premises. But what happens if the same question is asked at 01:00 Sunday morning, the answer will be very different. I can see it now "err well nobody, it's Sunday" But here are some disturbing facts:

  • A survey by the British Chamber of Commerce estimated that crime costs business 19 billion pounds annually.
  • Businesses are more at risk of crime than homes are.
  • Arson is the single most common cause of fire in business premises. 45% of all serious fires are a result of arson. Much of this is not targeted either - the vast majority of arson attacks are down to opportunist vandalism. Up to 80% of businesses never fully recover from a serious fire.
  • Last year the British Retail Consortium revealed that stores lost £426 million to staff theft. Meanwhile figures produced by the Centre for Retail Research in 1999 are equally worrying: they estimated that staff-related crime was responsible for a remarkable 50.8 per cent of total store theft.

These four facts could drastically affect the future of your business if they happened on your premises, it may pay you to receive some important free Hints and Tips on how to improve your business Security please fill in the box below:

To help you prevent these sort of crimes our uniformed Security Officers are licensed by the SIA. Alba Consec's corporate guarding division will:

  • Produce a professional security strategy for your business
  • Enhance your corporate image
  • Deter crime by having a presence on your premises
  • Protect your assets from the unforeseen.

Alba Consec utilises two forms of uniformed guarding services a static position and a mobile patrol.

The Static Officer

The static officer remains on site for the amount of hours that suit you and your business. You may require officers on your outer perimeter. These officers will carry out access control duties. Access control involves logging in of vehicle's and visitors, issuing of parking permits and the searching of both personal and delivery vehicles depending on the company's requirements. Working closely with P.A's and receptionists the security of your staff and business will be enhanced greatly by protecting the outer cordon

The intermediate cordon: This officer will patrol irregularly around the area between the outer perimeter and the building itself. Ensuring all vehicles have the correct permits and that no un-unauthorised personnel are on your premises. The patrols can be checked by the client from the digital readout taken from the officer's location reader. This ensures that the officers are carrying out the patrols to your company's requirements.

Finally, the inner cordon: This officer is situated inside the building; their patrols can include reception and patrols around the internal areas of the building looking for signs of weakness within your security (such as open windows).

We hope from this basic introduction to manned guarding and their responsibilities that you will see that our strategy is well considered. You may not require all your perimeters protected but whatever your requirements Alba Consec Ltd. can meet your company needs.

Security Receptionists

The Security receptionist not only provides you with a security presence but also is able to carry out Reception duties for you. What’s important to us is maintaining your companies image.

Mobile Patrol

Mobile patrols will visit your site a predetermined number of times per night, their duties could include:

  • A lockdown where they lock your premises after your staff have left the premises.
  • Irregular patrols throughout the night the times of these patrols can be verified by you so you know they have been carried out as per your schedule.
  • Finally, they can carry out what is known as a an unlock of your building in the morning so your staff can enter safely and without delay.

If you require a mobile patrol then why don't you utilise us as your Key holding Service.

At Alba Consec, our business is market led. We make sure we do well what we do now. And by investing in our understanding of the security industry we are able to focus on what we need to be doing in future to stay successful.
